calendar, which will be held on March 13-15, the Cyprus Automobile
Association calls those interested to volunteer in various positions
to announce their participations, through telephone, on 22313233, or
online, through this online form.
Discussing the important role of the Cyprus Rally on the development
of a volunteer movement on our island, Mr. Kyriakides stated that,
as a rally of worldwide importance, the Cyprus Rally could not be
the exception in the rule stating that volunteers have a key role to
play in the successful outcome of many major events.
For this annual sporting event, which serves to promote our island
worldwide, it is not only the cars or crews that have to prepare
meticulously, but also a large number of supporting volunteers, the
contribution of whom is of decisive importance in the outcome of the
race. This hidden workforce, timing watches in hand, is entitled to
a large share of recognition. This is the group which serves as the
Cyprus Rally’s backbone, and to this end, they must be impeccably
trained in knowing even the smallest detail. In this aspect, the
Cyprus Rally is considered one of the best events in the calendar,
leading the rally organizers to do whatever possible in order to
maintain this positive tradition.
The Cyprus Automobile Association’s efforts to organize yet another
impeccable World Rally Championship event, constitutes the need for
new blood in its ranks, through people who love rallying and have a
strong desire to offer their help.
