Dear participants and guests,

On behalf of the organizing committee, it is my great pleasure to welcome you to the 2016 CNP ASFALISTIKI Cyprus Rally. The Cyprus Rally is becoming 45 years old, and for decades, it has thrilled both fans and competitors. I dare to say we expect more of the same this year! With all our experience, we know exactly what it takes to make a successful rally, and we've gone all out this year to ensure that this will be repeated.
October in Cyprus is great. Temperature is cooling nicely after the long hot summer and there is a real sense of fun in and around the island's coastal resorts - like Limassol, the hosting city for the Ceremonial Start and Finish. Much like last year, the event is once again hosted in Nicosia. Being the capital, Nicosia is a vibrant and lively blend of old and new. As every city should, Nicosia offers a plethora of entertainment establishments and historical sites.

This year’s rally has three main ‘highlights’. Friday night will see the return of Night Special Stages while the Nicosia Super Special Stage will run on Saturday, the 8th of October, in the afternoon. Moreover, on Sunday the crews will have the chance to compete for a hefty financial prize during the Love Cyprus Golden Stage which will be comprised of the last two Special Stages of the rally.
Like last year, the HQ will be based at  the Filoxenia Conference Centre, while the Service Park will be situated on Evangelos Florakis street in Nicosia, right next to the Police Headquarters.

The rally continues with mixed surface stages (gravel and tarmac), something which we introduced back in 2009. Competitors from the European and the Middle East Rally Championships are coming to Cyprus for the 2016 CNP ASFALISTIKI Cyprus Rally aiming the win.

I look forward to welcome you to our island and hope to see you all at the Ceremonial Start which will be held at the Limassol promenade on Friday 7th of October 2016.
