Al-Attiyah Fastest in Qualifying Stage for the 2026 Cyprus Rally

Nasser Al-Attiyah/ Candido Carrera (Škoda Fabia) set the fastest time in the qualifying stage of the 52nd Cyprus Rally, held on Friday morning (23 October) in Tseri.

As a result, they will start from the best position in Saturday’s opening leg (24 October), avoiding the disadvantage of having to “sweep” the road for the crews behind them.

Galatariotis / Ioannou (Škoda Fabia) set the second-fastest time, followed by Abdullah Al-Rawahi / Sebastian Sergui (Škoda Fabia) in third place. Bakhashab / Matar (Škoda Fabia) followed in fourth.

Giangou / Nicolaou (Hyundai i20) set the fifth-fastest time, while Sukuroglu / Topcuoslu (Volkswagen Polo) finished sixth.

They were followed by K. Al-Attiyah / Chehab (Ford Fiesta), Prodromou / Episkopou (Mitsubishi Lancer Evo X), and K. Laos / Stylianou (Mitsubishi Lancer Evo X).

The ceremonial start will take place at 18:00 at Europe Square in Larnaca.

A total of 30 crews are participating, representing Cyprus as well as Qatar, Spain, Romania, Oman, Saudi Arabia, Jordan, and Lebanon.
